Fedegosa is a small tree that grows up to 5-8m. Typical of Brazil, is also found in warmer climates and in areas tropocali South, Central and North America. Its seeds are sometimes roasted for beverages like coffee. The genus Cassia comprises approximately 600 species of trees, shrubs, vines and herbs, many of which grow in the rainforest. Many species have been used as medicinal plants and some of them are known since the IX-X century as a laxative and Purgatoire, including angusifolia Cassia senna and Cassia.

Contraindications:
